Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is the fourteenth game in the Battlefield franchise. It was released in October 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was a huge critical and commercial success.[1][2]

Similar to previous games in the series, Battlefield 1 is a first-person shooter. It takes place in the period of the First World War, and is inspired by historical facts. Players can make use of weapons used in this conflict, including bolt-action rifles, automatic and semi-automatic weapons, artillery, flamethrowers, mustard gas, and machine guns to kill opponents.[1]

The game's multiplayer supports up to 64 players. The maps are based on locations around the world, including Arabia, the Western Front, the Alps and Russia (Russian Revolution).
