Statutory sick pay Campaigners call for reforms to prevent workers from being pushed into poverty

New analysis shared exclusively with Sky News has found the average worker left dependent on statutory sick pay would only receive a quarter of the income needed to maintain a minimum socially accepted standard of living.

Statutory sick pay is currently £109.40 a week, which works out at around a third of the minimum wage.
