Russian Forces Conduct Mass Shelling of Ukraine Overnight

Overnight on May 14th, Russian forces launched a massive artillery attack on Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force Command. The attack involved the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Kalibr missiles, X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles, and strategic aviation aircraft such as the Tu-95MS. Reports confirm the destruction of 25 UAVs and three missiles, but the total number of missiles and drones launched remains unspecified.

The impact of the cruise missiles was documented in the Ternopil region, where civilian infrastructure was targeted. The military administration of the region reported the destruction of two buildings and damage to 12 private houses, civilian commercial and industrial facilities, and nine trucks.

In the Kharkiv region, a Russian missile attack caused damage to transportation infrastructure, dormitories, and residential buildings, according to Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Administration.

Sergey Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, stated that Russian reconnaissance drones violated the airspace of the Ukrainian capital during the night of May 14th. However, all of them were successfully shot down.
