In self-defeating fashion, Jim Carrey has sunk his own battleship.

This man was once funny, and even appealing to women. His career skyrocketed and he became the 'leading man' of comedy. Somehow it seems, fame and fortune can destroy a person. More accurately, fame and fortune have a way of blinding the newly rich and famous. In their blindness they allow themselves to fall into the pits of pride and arrogance.

No better example exists than with Jim Carrey, a pariah in his old neighbourhood of Hollywood and laughed at [not with] by pretty much everyone. It's sad.
