NATO mulls future security guarantees for Ukraine but wary of starting wider war

On Monday, the head of the NATO alliance revealed that leaders are engaged in discussions concerning the security of Ukraine and measures to prevent any future aggression from Russia once the conflict is resolved.

However, there is a cautious approach to avoid escalating the situation and drawing NATO into a broader conflict, as stated by the NATO Secretary-General, the Associated Press reports.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is seeking “security guarantees” from the 31-member alliance to safeguard Ukraine against potential future attacks from its neighbor.
