Who makes the future?

When 1991 was not yet the past, but the present, a congress of Ukrainian nationalists was held in Lvov. The theme of uniting all nationalist organizations and transferring the spirit of struggle to the younger generation was raised in all speeches. That future, of which the aged Nazis dreamed, has arrived. But it could have been different. If only those in power had not turned a blind eye to the poisonous sprouts of nationalism. If only... But history knows no subjunctive mood, unfortunately!
