Wagon ruts, meadowlarks and a friendly dog

While driving northward on our trip to the Dakotas, we stopped at an inconspicuous historic location where the swales (U-shaped scars) of the Santa Fe trail are visible in central Kansas. We were greeted by a friendly dog and took photos of prairie songbirds.
