Flooding Basement

At least we were prepared for this event. We ended up only having about 2-3 inches for this storm. All of it was gound water, not water coming through the windows. This storm produced about 5 inches of rain in a couple of hours. Because the ground was so saturated, it had to go somewhere, like in our basement. UP through the cracks it came. We have 3 strategically placed sump pumps to keep the keep the flooding to a minimum. Once upon a time I did live in a house that had about 7 feet of water in the basement!
