Unbelievable! A Genealogy Gem right under my nose revealed. In Genealogy Gems Podcast episode 224 at https://lisalouisecooke.com/2018/12/12/episode_224/ (you gotta hear this one!) my guest Dr. David Haas inspired me to get digitizing and so I sent 1600 feet of 8mm film out to Video Conversion Experts in AZ to be digitized and restored. (tell them you heard about them from Genealogy Gems!) I had seen these home movies before but they were SO grainy! They worked a miracle. Watching them now I see I have this short clip, the only known movie of my Great Grandfather Charles Allen Burkett (born in 1880) taken shortly before his death. He is slim man with the tie. The man with the crew cut is his son, my grandpa, and the young man is his son my uncle. 3 generations of Burkett men represented. ❤️ Do you have old home movies?
