Is Mizkif right to call out smaller streamers?
Streaming has evolved a tonne over the years, and gone are the days of it being a niche thing that only a handful of people do.
With this rise of streamers has come a rise in complaints about lack of visibility across the streaming platform Twitch. Whilst this can be a contributing factor in the lack of growth on the platform, it isn’t the only roadblock that smaller and growing streamers need to navigate.
Whilst some of what Mizkif said was straight-up mean, other aspects I am inclined to agree with.
Since becoming a Twitch Partner in 2017, I have had the pleasure of witnessing the streaming space grow and evolve, but it’s easy to forget the importance of marketing yourself and utilising the ability to go viral on platforms such as TikTok and YouTube.
