Part 10: Napoleon Total War (Pub Pre-Game)

Episode 10 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War series picks up after the momentous events of the previous episode. General Wellesley, having successfully defeated the revolutionists who occupied Paris, mourns the loss of his previous army, which valiantly defended the city. With their sacrifice in mind, he honors the fallen soldiers and seeks to build upon their legacy.

Bolstering his army's numbers through a successful recruiting campaign, General Wellesley faces the daunting task of leading an inexperienced but motivated force. The trust he earned from his men during the battle for Paris becomes a vital asset as he navigates the challenges that lie ahead.

In the south, General Townsend Walker continues his march, having successfully captured Barcelona. Pressing further south, his forces establish a trade route blockade below Madrid, effectively cutting off crucial resources from reaching the capital city. The strategic moves by General Townsend Walker aim to weaken the French forces and tighten the grip on their supply lines.

Meanwhile, Admiral Cornwallis faces an unexpected ambush by a Spanish fleet while crossing the Bay of Biscay. Despite the surprise attack, Cornwallis skillfully maneuvers his fleet and sinks all four Spanish warships while preserving the integrity of his own ships. After the battle, he heads to drydock for necessary repairs before setting sail once again to join forces with Admiral Jervis and secure trade routes in the southern region, including those heading to the United States.

As Episode 10 unfolds, uncertainty lingers in the air. The victories achieved so far raise questions about what surprises Napoleon may have in store. Will it be smooth sailing for the British forces, or has the French leader set traps along their path? Only time will reveal the challenges that await our commanders and the twists that will shape the course of this gripping campaign.
