Employees protest in Baghdad demanding inclusion as part of food security law

Hundreds of contract employees of the Ministry of Electricity in Baghdad and other governorates demonstrated in front of the Green Zone gate, opposite the Parliament building in Baghdad on Tuesday.

The demonstration came after the announcement of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, that temporary employees will not be confirmed as permanent employees and they will not benefit from the Food Security Law.

At least three protesters were injured.
