Maryland’s Chris Van Hollen, who sits on the Senate Budget Committee, told ABC’s This Week that “We’re in an insane situation" Van Hollen added, "What we have is Speaker McCarthy and MAGA House Republicans saying they’re going to push the default detonator and blow up our economy if they don’t get their way on their budget proposals. That would destroy the American economy.”
