Video Description:
This video shows kayakers and GoPro enthusiasts how to modify their GoPro Hero3, Hero3+, Hero 4 to get 24hrs+ of battery power time while still remaining protected in waterproof housing! If you own a previous model of GoPro you could still do this but would need to find a battery eliminator or would have to make a battery eliminator. One could maybe be made from an old battery gutted out with red (+) and black (-) leads to appropriate connections. Please test your DIY modification without GoPro inside to see if it will meet the depth requirements that you require. Large 20,000mah battery packs can be put in waterproof junction boxes to keep waterproof and one could use another cable gland to pass through the battery eliminator into dry box. Options are endless with this setup. This DIY modification works great for also getting awesome GoPro Timelapse photos! Double, triple, quadruple your battery life with this modification and still keep the GoPro protected in waterproof housing!
