Part 1-Jaimie discusses how he got into law enforcement and his journal up to patrol.
Jaimie began his career in 1984 when he began working as a Boise Police Department Reserve Officer. Jaimie then went through the beginning process of working for the Idaho State Police before deciding that the agency was not a good fit for him. In 1989, Jaimie was hired on by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office where he worked until retiring in 2015. During his time with the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Jaimie worked as a jail deputy in the Ada County Jail, worked on patrol, and then as a detective in the Property Crimes Unit. Jaimie finally ended his career in the Major Crimes Unit where he worked for 13 years much of the time working homicides.
