Octopath Traveler 2 (PC) - Part 80: Laila & Veronica's Next Chapters

Upon completion of Agnea's story, Laila can be found at the streets of Merry Hills. There, she enters her own dance contest with Hermes (who we previously saw in Temenos Chapter 2 as one of the targets of a string of killings by Vados The Architect). After an uncharacteristic stumble, Laila runs off in shame only to be followed by Hermes who tries to pick her back up. As they head back to the stage, they overhear Hermes's assistant talking to one of the judges about fixing the contest in Hermes's favor. Hermes has none of this as she promptly fires her assistant and rejoins Laila on stage for another show.

Meanwhile, Veronica is on the streets of New Delsta pondering what to get as a gift for Dolcinaea. After inquiring around her childhood home of Sai, we get some information about Dolcinaea and Gifts. After reporting back to Veronica, she decides to give Dolcinaea a dumbbell, and hilarity ensues as Dolcinaea has no idea what it's used for.

There is also another music merchant at Merry Hills after completing Agnea's story to get a couple more songs for the Gramophone. Veronica also holds the last of the Battle-Tested Gear, the Shield.
