Have you heard of Operation Wandering Soul?

During this famous psy-op the American government decided to scare the Viet Cong to surrender using ghosts.

That’s right. They allegedly edited together a really spooky set of ghost sounds thinking the deep beliefs in Vietnamese burial rituals would make them think they were being haunted by their fallen comrades.

Suffice to say, it just gave away our troops positions and was more or less a massive failure.
