Rapper and actor Ice Cube is urging black Americans to reconsider their allegiance to the Democratic Party. In an interview on the Full Send Podcast, Ice Cube defended his collaboration with then-President Trump on his plan for black Americans, which faced criticism last year. He created a document titled "Contract with Black America," which addressed various issues believed to be the cause of the unrest after George Floyd's killing. Both Republicans and Democrats showed interest in the document, however, only Republicans wanted to implement some provisions of the contract. Ice Cube emphasized the need for tangible results and urged fellow Black Americans to reconsider their political loyalties. Black Americans have overwhelmingly supported Democrats for 50-60 years, yet nothing has changed.
