Polish National Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak said that Warsaw is not yet training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets, but is ready to start. This comes after EU’s Foreign Policy Chief said that training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 had begun in several countries. Ukrainian official Colonel Yurii Ihnat also denied reports of F-16 trainings having started. He also said that a large number of pilots cannot be sent to train on the F-16s because “someone needs to fight”.

Meanwhile, Putin’s aid Dmitry Medvedev warned of a nuclear apocalypse owing to the most destructive weapons Kyiv receives from its western backers. He also said Russia views certain alliances, such as AUKUS and QUAD, as unfriendly "because NATO is poking around".
