Mark Chapman talks about his demons in 1992 to ABC's Barbara Walters.

During a fundamentalist prayer group when he was younger, Chapman recalled experiencing : "laying on hands’, speaking in tongues and delivering from demons. Chapman also recalled – "At times I would be on my back and five or six people would be laying on hands. At other times, there would be manifestations of demonic power. I remember one man barking like a dog and then assuming a karate position. We talked about demons more than we did about Jesus". This early example of demonic gas-lighting is almost certainly where Chapman started to believe he was possessed by demons. Chapman was constantly gaslit by psychiatric experts such as Daniel Schwartz, Pastors who knew him and others still to be identified, into believing he was possessed by spiritual demons and they somehow made him kill John Lennon. Could the demons who apparently coerced Mark Chapman into believing he shot John Lennon, be less of the spiritual kind and perhaps more of the human variety?
