ST. PAUL, MINN. --  Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz delivered remarks before he signed a piece of legislation into law that would introduce red flag laws and universal background checks for gun owners in Minnesota.

Walz said, "I refuse to allow extremists to define what responsible gun ownership looks like. This is about the safety of our children and our communities."
