An interview with David 'Spiderman' Chick - a prolific protester who is determined to Destroy Eric Gill's Statue outside the BBC. This interview was recorded 23/5/23 after David climbed scaffolding surrounding the statue on Saturday (they were going to restore it after Spiderman's last visit) and spent 14 hours with a hammer & chisel hacking at the controversial piece. Police eventually arrested David & the protest came to a peaceful conclusion.
Here David Chick tells us why he is targeting Eric Gills Statute & also talks about his history of audacious protests & why he got the name 'Spider-man'.
