In the late 1970s, I made a life-changing move from Southern Connecticut to the then-vibrant and bustling Corvallis, Oregon.

Embracing my role as a radical poet and performer, I sought to extend the spirit of the 1960s and push back against the aftermath of the Reagan and Bush years.

Coffee houses, universities, theaters, and political events became the backdrop for my poetic expressions, and a wacky boarding house became the genesis of my first music jams.
