Vtuber Veibae Canceled Over a SLUR?

Veibae (previously of Vshojo) has garnered quite the reputation on twitter from her use of "the R word" while on stream. Her associations with her fellow Vtuber Silvervale has also garnered criticism from vtweeters.

Veibae is a female independent English VTuber based in the UK. She joined VShojo on 9 April 2021 and left on 25 April 2023.

Veibae is a self-described "champion, magician, and absolute chad", and a "degenerate" who barely showers. She is rude on stream, often discussing inappropriate and lewd topics and bullying her chat. She is a heavy memer. She enjoys eating and drinking on stream, and drools over food videos. She is frequently drunk on chat, and even has a beer in her 2D model.

Veibae was a succubus with blue eyes, long white hair, pointed ears, and a long black pointed tail. She has a pair of horns, dark red in her 2D model but black in her earlier 3D model with blue eyes that can tern red.

Currently she is the Empress of the Sky and still has long white hair, her ears are hidden, and a long blue & white serpent tail. She has a 4 pair of horns, 2 small pointy one in the front & 6 curved horns of various sizes with light brownish goldish eyes.

She has several outfits. Her original outfit was a pink jumpsuit. She next changed to a Japanese-style schoolgirl outfit, and then a maid outfit. At her 2D debut she showed off a new custom black and white corset maid costume.

Vei's Twitch account was originally created on 25 July 2015, while her Twitter was created on September 2016.

Vei's original 3D model was shown ahead of her debut on 10 April 2020 by creator jjinomu.

2021
On 9 April, Vei made a re-debut revealing her new 2D model. It was also announced that she had joined US-based VTuber agency VShojo, a group including Nyanners, Ironmouse, and Projekt Melody. Vei was ill during her debut, and had not showered or worn deodorant. She reached 100,000 Twitch followers during the stream.

A new 3D model reveal was announced for 11 April. Vei intended to continue using both 2D and 3D models, saying "I'll take as many Ds as I can."

On 13 April, VShojo members Ironmouse, Froot, Silvervale, Veibae and Nyatasha Nyanners played with prominent japanese VTubers Kizuna Ai, Higuchi Kaede and Dennou Shojo Siro in a collab called #VAmongEarth.

2022
On 10 April, Veibae revealed her new Live2D model in a stream attended by over 33,000 viewers.

On 27 October, Streamy Awards nominated Veibae in the VTuber category, along with her fellow Vshojo member Ironmouse, Nyanners and Zentreya.

2023
On March, the Streamer Awards nominated Veibae in the VTuber category alongside Ironmouse.

On 13 March, she reached 1 million Twitch followers. She also announced that she would join the talent management agency Mythic Talent. She also changed her Twitch username from Veibae to Vei.

On 25 April, VShojo's Twitter account announced that she and Silvervale would be leaving the company after not renewing their contracts.

On 26 April, to erase speculation regarding her leaving VShojo, Vei clarified on her Twitter account that she left because the new contracts didn't make financial sense to her.
