On dreaming of the future

I was in London last month, in a restaurant called Sketch. The entryway was set up like something from A Midsummer Night’s Dream; plastic trees with twinkling Christmas lights but there were also random chandeliers about, and headless mannequin styled in a Georgian gown in the corner.

On the floor was a hopscotch board sketched in chalk. As a joke, my cousin decided to have a go at hopscotch, and as I was suddenly hit by a profound feeling of #dejavu.

I had dreamt all of this before: the trees, the chandelier, the twinkling trees, the headless mannequin in the Georgian dress, and my grown cousins skipping hopscotch, except at the time I had the dream, none of it made sense. Not did it seem real at the time of my dream but here I was now watching a scene from my dream unfold.
