The Importance of The Feast of Weeks. SHAV'OUT

I noticed a discussion on facebook about Shav'out that left me feeling frustrated and i needed to turn it into a teaching opportunity. You guys, counting the Omer is not biblical. it is Jewish tradition from the talmud. Lev 23 tells us we must number the weeks. seven sabbaths complete, then count fifty. it says nothing about Omers. Shav'out (pentecost) is NOT about Barley.....its the first fruits of the wheat harvest. COUNTING THE OMER IS A MAN MADE TRADITION
