Ever wonder what the story is about those ships that come into the harbor at Virginia Beach from international waters. Who Pilots those ships? We at OurOneNation are going to take you on a trip and you can see for yourself. US Pilots board the ships that come in from international waters to assist in guiding the ships safely to port. We will travel in a 55’ pilot boat and will take several brave men out to sea to board a couple of these ships. Very exciting. As you can see, the ship is still moving and the pilot boat pulls up along side and maintains the same speed of the ship. The men climb rope ladders which lead to a stairway that takes them to the deck of the ship. Enjoy!
