Why We Can't Transition Away From Oil

How many times have you heard this administration stress the need for a 'global transition'? The powers that be have suddenly decided that oil and gas, the most efficient and effective energy source, must completely go away. Setting aside how ludicrous the idea truly is, the idea that we can remove oil and gas from every aspect of our life is not only infeasible, but will destroy a huge portion of our society's infrastructure.
