Overall, the Osprey Daylite Daypack is an exceptional choice for any light day hike or for exploring a foreign city. The manufacture of this pack is top-notch, and it comes with the unbeatable warranty offered by Osprey.
The lightweight and water-resistant design makes it perfect for any outdoor adventure. You can easily carry a light jacket or other essentials in this smaller backpack.
It is important to note that this is not a full-sized backpack, so plan accordingly. One of the standout features of the Daylite Daypack is the flat pocket that sits along your back.
Its perfect for carrying a hydration pouch or a very thin notebook. Additionally, the smaller outer pouch with two flat pockets is a great place to store small items.
The shoulder straps on this pack are robust and comfortable, making it easy to wear for extended periods. The chest and waist strap included provide extra support and stability, and the chest strap buckle doubles as a whistle.
This is actually my second Osprey Daylite, and I can attest to the fact that they hold up well over time. The updated version of the Daylite now has deeper and more functional outside mesh pockets, perfect for carrying water bottles.
The "handle" between the shoulder straps is also a little closer to the pack, allowing it to sit up a little higher on the back if desired. My first Daylite is still going strong, and I passed it on to my son.
Its the perfect size for a child to wear and carry their own belongings. I recently bought a second Daylite for my other son now that hes old enough to carry his own things.
If you want a little more room to carry additional items, I would recommend upgrading to the Daylite Plus. Overall, my only minor complaint is that I wouldnt mind a couple more pockets or pouches to hold additional items.
