Mrs Hurley singing at official events
I would like to register my complaint as an Australia citizen at the totally inappropriate and self-indulgent singing by Mrs Hurley at official events involving the Governor General.

Mrs Hurley is not invited as a professional entertainer, she is not there in the capacity of a paid singer she is invited to, or is present at, these events by virtue of being married to the Governor General. She has no other authorised position.

Countless numbers of people have been embarrassed by this behaviour and forced to listen to somebody singing their self-indulgent ditties at them without their consent.

This is not only rude, it is passive aggressive, entitled and totally self-absorbed. We as Australians do not pay for a Governor General and his wife to indulge her private singing fantasies. If Mrs Hurley wishes to inflict her singing on her own family and friends that is her choice. It is entirely another matter for her to force this ridiculous performance on other Australians and guests from other nations whilst representing the Office of the Governor General.

Please pass on to the Governor General and to Mrs Hurley that this behaviour is self-centered, egotistical, juvenile and embarrassing for so many thousands of unconsenting people.
