THIS SHARK WAS UNEXPECTED! BLACKFIN SHARK THIS FAR SOUTH? THE 445LB / 202KG SHARK ATE ANOTHER SHARK!

We where very surprised when Stefan landed this blackfin shark! They are a more tropical specie and the occasional one occurs about 500km North from where we are. They are found in abundance from the Transkei and Wild coast of South Africa a staggering 1200km from where this one was caught, we reckon it might be the most furthest South a Blackfin shark has ever been caught in South Africa.

I took a chance to fish for a Ragged tooth shark and hooked into an absolute monster! This giant shark weighs more than my whole family. The length to weight conversion table puts this shark to 202kg, we estimate her to be close to 220kg as she was in great condition and had a massive girth! the ragged tooth shark had a whole

Like always we handled the sharks with care close to the water, making sure that waves wash over the sharks every now and then so that they can get water flowing over their gills. We carefully removed the circle hooks and returned the sharks safely back in the ocean.
