One of my questions: Why Didn't Trump Fire Anthony Fauci?

If we have learned anything watching the recent political theatre in America, the one thing we do not know is why then-President Trump did not fire Anthony Fauci, or at the very least, sideline Dr. Poophead when things were getting real. I know a ton of people are harping on Florida Governor and 2024 Presidential contender Ron DeSantis for his handling of the pandemic in Florida, but in all seriousness if you want to lay blame on someone for allowing individual counties from setting their own lockdown policies at the behest of CDC guidance, wouldn't it also make sense to lay some of that blame on the people who oversee those who wrote said guidance in the first place? That is one of the many questions I have recently regarding Trump.
