Most know of Germany's unification with Austria, the Anschluss. More still know of the Sudeten crisis or the Munich betrayal, where the Sudeten German's were reunited with Germany. But many do not know of the 3rd and final peaceful conquest before the Second World War began. Let's discuss the Annexation of Memel/Klaipeda from Lithuania and how it came about in 1939.
