Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is an action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It is the fourth main title in the Grand Theft Auto series and was released in October 2002 for PlayStation 2, May 2003 for Microsoft Windows and October 2003 for Xbox. Versions for mobile platforms were released in 2012, due to the game's ten-year anniversary, while an enhanced version, subtitled The Definitive Edition, was released in 2021. The game is set in the fictional city of Vice City in the 1990s. 1980, with the story following mobster Tommy Vercetti as he builds his criminal empire and clashes with other criminal organizations in the city. The open world allows players to freely navigate the islands that make up the city.
