Elites Becoming Detached

The elites of American society have become completely detached from reality. They live in a bubble that is completely separate and isolated from the general public. Not too long ago in America, the wealthy were not so secluded and removed from the commoner. How did this happen? Simply put, it is the result of impractical intellectualism.
