State Department refuses to address the arrest of American blogger Gonzalo Lira in Ukraine

28 May 23 Journalist of Epoch Times Liam Cosgrove presses the US State Department about Zelensky’s arrest of American citizen Gonzalo Lira in Ukraine.

The political commentator and show host Gonzalo Lira was arrested by the Ukrainian SBU for allegedly “producing Russian propaganda;”

The Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office posted a video of “evidence” which included Gonzalo pointing out Ukraine’s extremism problem and the fact that the Ukrainian government had killed 1,000s by shelling the Donbas region before 2022.

The State Department claims to support free speech, but won’t address whether they will work to free Gonzalo.
