Super WOW! and a 5-STAR! product across the board. I am an actual customer.
I NEVER write review but this set is too awesome not to. My 6 yo loves science so we were searching for a set he would like. He saw this one and we both got excited.
We were even more excited once we got it. This kit has so much to do and it contains everything you need for the activities. No running around the house trying to find a random material here or there to do the activities.
The contents are high quality and look awesome. He’s so excited to display the rock specimens in his room and the volcano is great. I highly recommend this as a gift or STEM activity for the little scientists in your life!
Parents looking to occupy their kids’ time this summer? Look no further than this sand and slime kit! My 5.5 year old son has spent many hours alone playing with this kit.
The hydrophobic sand and magnetic putty are especially amusing. My son has literally spent hours over the course of many weeks playing with these two items from the kit.
High quality, kid (and parent) approved kit!
We go through different science experiments each week, and have bought National Geographic as well as other brands.
The National Geographic kits, such as this one, are very nicely presented in a gorgeous box with a nice booklet with instructions and information about each activity.
My only disappointment was that the instructions arent as clear as some other brands Ive used. For example, the components are not listed on a page with photos showing what each thing is.
So for an experiment, it may call for a "something or other" and not show any photos of what that item is, so you dont know what it needs.
I had to Google a video to see what components were needed in one experiment because I didnt know what the "doodad" was that it wanted me to use. Otherwise, its great.
The volcano was a LOT of fun to make, and I appreciated that it gave instructions for ingredients that could be used from around the house as well. So we did it with the included ingredients, then a few more times with ingredients around the home.
The rock excavating was really fun. For people who think they didnt get one of each rock, you did. Its just that the gold bar has fools gold in it and the "gem" has the other gemstone in it.
Again, the instructions do not let you know. At first, we only did the gold bar and I was very sad that we didnt get the gemstone also. Then the next week, we "excavated" the little crystal-shaped thing and it had the gemstone!
