Metal Gear Solid OST - Mantis Hymn

Metal Gear Solid is a stealth action game that was released in 1998 for PlayStation. The game follows the story of Solid Snake, a former member of FOXHOUND, a special forces unit. Solid Snake is brought out of retirement to complete a mission to stop a group of terrorists from launching a nuclear attack.

The game is set in the remote island of Shadow Moses, Alaska. The terrorists have taken control of a nuclear weapon, a bipedal tank called Metal Gear, which they plan to use to launch a nuclear attack. The terrorists are led by Liquid Snake, who is revealed to be Solid Snake's twin brother.

Solid Snake is joined on his mission by a team of support staff, including Colonel Campbell, Mei Ling, and Otacon. He must navigate through the island, avoiding detection by the enemy soldiers, and find a way to destroy Metal Gear. Along the way, he encounters several key characters, including Meryl Silverburgh, a rookie soldier, and Sniper Wolf, a skilled marksman who serves as Liquid Snake's second-in-command.

As Solid Snake progresses through the game, he uncovers a web of lies and deceit. He learns that the true mastermind behind the terrorist plot is a rogue unit within the US government, known as The Patriots. They plan to use the terrorist attack as a way to gain more power and control over the world.

In the end, Solid Snake confronts Liquid Snake in a final battle. He manages to destroy Metal Gear and defeat Liquid, but not before learning that he himself is also a clone, created as part of a secret government project. The game ends with Solid Snake leaving the island and pondering his future.
