Afghan-Soviet War Operation Magistral 1987-88

The last major operation of the Soviet-Afghan War which focused on clearing the Khost-Gardez highway of Mujahedeen fighters. Shown in the video are subunits of the 103rd Guards Airborne Division, including the divisional reconnaissance company, 56th Air Assault Brigade, and unidentified GRU special forces units.
