Octopath Traveler 2 (PC) - Part 87: The Encroaching Darkness (Castti & Ochette Crossed Paths Part 2)

With Castti & Ochette's individual stories completed, we can now continue their Crossed Path story. The two return to Cropdale to check in on their duorduor friend Wooly Ooly, only to find the forest completely deserted in a state of complete decay. A little further in we find a hand reaching out of a dark cloud. After Provoking it with Ochette, she and Castti find Wooly Oolly a little further ahead, suffering similar symptoms to those from Trousseau's poison rain. Thankfully Castti had created a cure in her final chapter.

Further in, the two get separated, and Castti is surrounded by dark voices from her past. Eventually Ochette catches up with her and a boss fight ensues, the only one for a Crossed Path. The Creeping Shadow only has about half the health of an average final-chapter boss fight, making this a really easy fight, though a little Dark protection couldn't hurt. After the fight, all of the crossed paths are now complete and the final chapter, the Journey For the Dawn, is now open. But there are still more side stories to complete before that, including one that I've dreaded since I first started recording this walkthrough...
