Tragedy Strikes on Lake Maggiore: Victims Identified in Boating Accident

Italian intelligence agents Claudio Alonzi, 62, and Tiziana Barnobi, 53, along with retired Israeli security forces member Shimoni Erez, 50, were among the victims of a boating disaster on Lake Maggiore. Anya Bozhkova, the 50-year-old Russian wife of the boat's captain, also lost her life in the incident.

The boat, carrying over 20 tourists and crew, sank in strong winds during a storm that escalated into a "small hurricane." Despite rescue efforts, the tragic accident claimed the lives of four individuals, while others were able to swim ashore or be rescued by nearby boats.
