"The Man Who Knew Too Much" is a 1934 British thriller film directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The story follows an ordinary couple, Bob and Jill Lawrence, who become entangled in a web of espionage and international intrigue while vacationing in Switzerland with their daughter, Betty.

Bob Lawrence, portrayed by Leslie Banks, and Jill Lawrence, played by Edna Best, accidentally befriend a Frenchman named Louis Bernard (played by Pierre Fresnay) during their stay in the Swiss Alps. Just before he is murdered, Bernard reveals a crucial secret to Bob about an assassination plot that will take place in London. Unfortunately, Bernard's killers kidnap Betty in order to ensure the Lawrences' silence.

Determined to rescue their daughter and stop the assassination, the Lawrences travel to London and attempt to uncover the details of the plot on their own. Along the way, they encounter a mysterious spy organization led by Abbott (played by Peter Lorre). As the Lawrences get closer to discovering the truth, they find themselves in increasing danger.

In a dramatic climax, the Lawrences manage to disrupt the assassination plan during a performance at the Royal Albert Hall, but their efforts also expose their daughter's captors. Bob confronts Abbott, resulting in a tense shootout. With the help of the police, the Lawrences rescue Betty and bring the criminals to justice.
