Then&Now: Bakhmut, Ukraine

The city of Bakhmut in Ukraine was the location of an almost year long battle by the Russians to conquer the city from the Ukrainians, only to gain full control over it when it was completely reduced to rubble. The city has been effectively razed to the ground by occupying forces. For now, Bakhmut is under Russian control, but the city in eastern Ukraine will be united with the rest of free Ukraine eventually!
