Jean-Pierre Petit, né le 5 avril 1937 à Choisy-le-Roi, est un physicien et vulgarisateur scientifique français. Il est spécialiste de la magnétohydrodynamique, dont il a étudié l'utilisation. Il a aussi élaboré un modèle cosmologique controversé faisant l'hypothèse de masses négatives et nommé Janus fondé sur la bigravité.

Jean-Pierre Petit, born April 5, 1937 in Choisy-le-Roi, is a French physicist and scientific popularizer. He is a specialist in magnetohydrodynamics, the use of which he has studied. He also developed a controversial cosmological model assuming negative masses and named Janus based on bigravity.
