$50,000 fine or 3 months in jail for "disruptive" protests in South Australia. is it fair?

The South Australian parliament recently passed new laws that would see protesters be fined up to $50,000 or face 3 months in jail for engaging in protests found to be "disruptive".
The laws were introduced in response to extreme acts of public disruption by climate activists, but should people get behind the government on this instance because they may not be ideologically aligned with the protesters?
