NT Framework 05: Review Golden Era of Solomon and Divided Kingdom

Good morning SBC Family and Friends,

Tomorrow we will be reviewing the Golden Era of Solomon and the Divided Kingdom. These are super important eras to study for the lessons that relate to biblical culture, and why a once great America is now in severe cultural decline. There really is no substitute for learning loyalty to God through His word. Once He and His word are rejected, cultural decline follows as night follows day (in Hebrew day follows night 😊). God will not be mocked, whatsoever a nation sows this the nation will also reap. It is an incontrovertible truth.

Great ideas relating to culture and building biblical culture will be presented tomorrow. Parents, grandparents, children, it's all addressed right here in the nation Israel during the times of Boaz, Obed, David, and Solomon. They were building biblical culture and seeing the fruits of it. It was the highest and most prosperous culture in the history of the world! It is sad that people today in America just want to "do it their own way" when Solomon already tried that. He concluded,

"The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person." - Ecclesiastes 12:13

There is no skirting this truth. To the youth he said, (and my oh my do they need this)

"Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no delight in them”;
before the sun and the light, the moon and the stars are darkened, and clouds return after the rain;
in the day that the watchmen of the house tremble, and mighty men stoop, the grinding ones stand idle because they are few, and those who look through windows grow dim;
and the doors on the street are shut as the sound of the grinding mill is low, and one will arise at the sound of the bird, and all the daughters of song will sing softly.
Furthermore, men are afraid of a high place and of terrors on the road; the almond tree blossoms, the grasshopper drags himself along, and the caperberry is ineffective. For man goes to his eternal home while mourners go about in the street.
Remember Him before the silver cord is broken and the golden bowl is crushed, the pitcher by the well is shattered and the wheel at the cistern is crushed;
then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher, “all is vanity!” - Eccl 12:1-8

See you tomorrow! Don't forget to welcome visitors and newcomers. Be friendly and introduce yourself to them. Take them to lunch if you have time. Do something to change the world. Changing the world takes place one person at a time.
