Big Alligator at RV Park Grunts at Us!

In This Alligator Episode:
Fred is the Alligator that I chased back into the pond, after he walked in front of our open trailer door, during the middle of the day. This time Fred the Alligator comes back to the edge of the pond, which is right across the street from our trailer, and grunts at us! This alligator is not afraid of people. We decide to check him out, and get as close as we can to this gator while steel feeling safe enough to flee.

Alligators are not naturally aggressive toward humans. That said, alligator-on-human attacks are somewhat frequent, more so than other predators such as sharks, because alligators have grown increasingly bold in where they venture.

Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about an alligator that crawls into your house through the kitchen window. If you tread on an alligator in the dark, well, yes, they may attack. In general, as long as you stay clear of alligators and don't go swimming in their home especially at night, or get close to their gator nests, you should be fine. Be mindful of where alligators are located at all times. If you see an alligator in your yard near where the kids or dogs play, its probably a good idea to chase them off. Let the alligators know they are not welcome in your yard, but be careful.
