Sennacherib deals treacherously with Hezekiah.
Isaiah prays for God to be gracious and deliver them even though most of Jerusalem was worshipping Him out of habit and obligation rather than love.
The Assyrians will be dealt with as they deal with others.
This is also a reflection of how the end times events will occur when the earth is judged.
