Cattrall must have been begging producers to keep coming back and offer her more money. She was able to set her own terms because she had the power. Page Six has revealed that Cattrall’s surprise appearance in the second season -- dubbed a "cliffhanger," as it was described -- did not come with no demands. Sources claim that the actress refused filming with Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davies. Page Six reported that she would also not step foot on the Queens sets if Michael Patrick King, showrunner and SJP supporter, was present. One source stated: "Kim was very clear about her two requirements - she didn't want to act with the other girls and she also did not want Michael Patrick King to appear on the show." Fans loved her, but she refused to do a third movie in the "SATC" series amid reports that there was friction between SJP and Cattrall. This included the revelation that Cattrall and her co-stars felt they were not being paid well enough. SJP received more money than her. Usually, when actors are on the phone, they will appear off-camera to read the lines. Kim had to be fed Carrie's lines by someone who sat there. I wonder if Carrie specified who was to do this. I'd also assume she had script approval for this one scene. Why would they negotiate all this if she was going to say dumb stuff? No, I do not believe Kim will "come back."
