Shaky hands while working with orchids, is NOT something I have to worry about! THIS project though, oh boy!! Many Deep Breaths during the process of protecting roots tips on an orchid while working to get the orchid on to a new mount, without destroying any root tips! Brassavola species orchids do not grow many roots / growth, so each root tip is vital for the successful growing momentum of the orchid. In addition to that, Brassavola species orchids do not have a branching root system, or, let's say if the roots were to branch, it is so minimal, best to not rely on them branching. I very carefully manoeuvre my way around the inorganic mount to expose what I can so that the new roots can attach themselves to the organic mount sooner...
